Dr Kar Mei Tang is the Regional Head of Oceania and Asia (ex-Japan & China) for the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment. She has over 25 years\' experience in sustainability, investment and economic policy in both public and private sectors. Kar Mei has previously held senior executive roles in the NSW Government in the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, the Environment Protection Authority, and the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Prior to joining the NSW public sector she was Head of Policy and Research with the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (now Australian Investment Council). Kar Mei has a PhD in Economics (University of Sydney), Masters in Applied Statistics (ANU) and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours, University of Melbourne). She is also currently Co-Chair of the International Women\\\'s Development Agency (IWDA) and Deputy Chair of the Women in Economics (WEN) National Committee. She also sits on Gateway Bank\\\'s Sustainability Advisory Board and Deakin University\\\'s Property & Real Estate Advisory Board.
