Thomas Greenwell

Bio

Currently Senior Economist at the Australian Council of Trade Unions, working on labour market conditions and policy. I worked for Treasury for six and a half years across international macroeconomics, macroeconomic security issues, corporate tax policy. I worked on macroeconomic conditions analysis and forecasting between 2020 and 2022. I advised on monetary policy in early 2023. 

I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, studying Australia's economic development between 1983 and the 2020 recession. I hold postgraduate qualifications in Economics and Political Economy from the University of Sydney.
