Margaret McKenzie

Bio

Dr Margaret McKenzie is the economist at the Australian Council of Trade Unions, and an Honorary Research Fellow at Federation University. She has a PhD in economics from Birkbeck College, University of London. She has worked at universities in Australia and in the UK. She has previously worked in the APS in areas of economic policy. She has contributed in the media. Her research interests are mainly in areas of economic policy, with strong quantitative and comparative aspects. Her areas of research interest include public and private ownership, regulation and industry policy, macroeconomics, productivity, development, and most recently, the labour market.
