Marian Vidal-Fernandez
Bio
Marian is an Associate Professor at The University of Sydney, an IZA Research Fellow, an ARC Life Course Centre Researcher in Human Capital, and a Charles Perkins Centre Affiliate.
Marian graduated from her PhD at Boston University in 2011 and moved to the University of New South Wales between 2010-2015 before joining the University to the Sydney.
Her research focuses on education, human capital, health, and discrimination and has been published in leading international journals in economics and health (PNAS). Marian's down to earth divulgation style has led her to obtain a range of teaching awards and recognitions.
Marian has given a myriad of national and international radio interviews and her research has been featured in TV shows such as Sunrise Weekend and ABC News. She is also a regular collaborator of educational-related news on SBS Radio in Spanish.
