Alison Dalziel

Bio
Alison is an economist and recovering public servant with a passion for communities and local government. She has an extensive background in economic and regional development. Alison originally hails from New Zealand, where she worked on local and regional economic development strategies as a practitioner and manager in local government, then moved to central government as Director of Regional and Sustainable Development for New Zealand. She led the introduction of the Regional Partnerships Programme, followed by a term as advisor to New Zealand's Prime Minister on regional development, sustainable development and local government. Her next role was to establish a labour market development programme across New Zealand's regions and key industry sectors. Since her move to Western Australia in 2009, Alison has continued to be involved in economic development, predominantly through her consulting work with local government. Alison is a Director of Localise, a boutique consultancy specialising in local government.
