Dr Elif Incekara-Hafalir is a behavioural economist who uses experimental methods to study how people make decisions and how these choices shape key life outcomes such as education, employment, and wealth. Her research bridges economic theory with real-world applications, drawing on behavioural insights to design interventions that reduce inequality, promote gender equity, and improve outcomes for disadvantaged groups.

Elif’s work has been published in leading journals including Management Science and Experimental Economics. She has extensive experience conducting lab and field experiments. Her research has been supported by major international funders, including the National Institute on Aging through the Penn CMU Roybal Center on Behavioral Economics and Health, and the Evidence for Policy Design Program at the Harvard Kennedy School. Through her innovative and applied approach, Dr Incekara-Hafalir is committed to advancing evidence-based solutions to social and economic challenges.
