An economic and finance professional, Rudy Soobaroyen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is both a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant and a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant. In his final high school year at College du Saint Esprit (Quatre Bornes, Mauritius), Rudy Soobaroyen ranked 50th in the 2001 Mauritius Economic Side and Top 7% nationally, with strong grades in Accounting (A), Economics (B), Maths (A), French (A) and General Paper (B).

Having majored in a Bachelor Accounting with Finance (Upper Second Class - rank: 5th) and Master of Applied Finance (Distinction), Rudy's academic research interests include modern economic theories, behavioral finance, econometrics, fixed income strategies, equity investment, portfolio management, mathematical economics, management and contemporary issues.
