Ryan Isaacs

Bio
Ryan is an economist and Chartered Accountant specialised in energy transactions and decarbonisation. He has delivered transaction advice across more than 6 GW of solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and pumped hydro energy storage (PHES) assets and projects. His contribution to industry has been recognised by Consult Australia, Environment Analyst, Boston Consulting Group and Out for Australia.
As a Technical Advisor to vendors, bidders, and financiers, he has supported transactions ranging from single assets to large-scale portfolios. His work also spans opportunity mapping for offshore wind and BESS developments, as well as developing decarbonisation strategies and roadmaps for hard-to-abate sectors, including alumina production.
Before joining Aurecon, Ryan spent four years with Deloitte, where he advised some of Australia’s largest energy producers and consumers on energy and emissions measurement, reporting, and compliance. He also provided expertise in transaction structuring for international investments and related-party dealings.
In 2024, he received a high commendation from Consult Australia as one of the nation’s top future leaders and was globally shortlisted for the Sustainability Delivery Awards in Boston. In 2023, he was named one of Australia’s top 30 LGBTQIA+ leaders by Out for Australia and Boston Consulting Group.
