Bio
Md Khairul Hidayatullah is a PhD candidate at the School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability, The University of Queensland. His research integrates systems thinking and probabilistic cost–benefit analysis (CBA) to model and simulate policy interventions, particularly in the context of youth participation in agriculture and structural transformation in resource-dependent economies.
He holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (minor in Islamic Banking and Finance) from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
Khairul has over 10 years of professional experience in government service in Brunei Darussalam and three years of experience in Australia. His work focuses on policy modelling, economic evaluation, and systems-based approaches to development planning, with research interests spanning agricultural economics, public policy, entrepreneurship, and the economics of climate change.
