Masrur is a deeply credentialed and experienced economist, with a substantial background in policy analysis, business case development and infrastructure delivery. Over the course of his 10+ year career, Masrur has advised all tiers of government in Australia and New Zealand alongside private firms on significant infrastructure policy and investment decisions. \r\n\r\nMasrur has worked for various consultancies and government agencies, including NSW Treasury, the Queensland Department of Statement Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning (DSDILGP), the Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Developments, Communications and the Arts (DITRDCA) and the ACCC. \r\nWhile at the DITRDCA, Masrur advised senior stakeholders with administering the Australian Government’s $120 billion Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). Prior to his career as an infrastructure and policy economist, Masrur specialised as a research economist with BIS Shrapnel (now Oxford Economics) and BERL Economics.
