The recent Federal Budget introdued a number of significant changes to the tertiary education sector and this has kept education issues on the front page of newspapers.
But what could these changes mean for the future of tertiary education policy?
In a very special event on Monday 15 September, a panel of experts including the architect of HECS, Professor Bruce Chapman, Editor of The Australian's Higher Education Supplement, Julie Hare, former CEO of Universities Australia, Professor Glenn Withers and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of New South Wales, Professor Emeritus John Niland AC will come together to discuss the pressing issues in tertiary education.
The panel will look at the proposed changes to HECS, the plans for university deregulation and how the government has argued the proposed changes to the electorate.
The Lunchbox Debate is part of Policy Outlook 2014, one of the events of ANU Public Policy Week. In addition to being treated to a discussion of the issues, attendees will enjoy a very special lunchbox from Autolyse Bakery in Braddon. Your lunchbox will have everything you need for a gourmet feast to fuel you for an exhilarating debate.
Places (and lunchboxes) are strictly limited, so make sure you register now to secure your spot. The event will be lived streamed for those not able to make it.
