DESCRIPTION:The University of Navarra is pleased to announce the organization of the international conference &ldquo\;The Roads to Development: Work\, Markets and Institutions&rdquo\; to be held at the University in Spain on the 20th and 21st of&nbsp\; October\, 2025.
Much has been said and researched about development over the last decades. Yet\,&nbsp\;the contemporary geopolitical context demands an updated reflection on the hindrances and opportunities for furthering development both at the national and at the global scale.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
The Roads to Development is a two-day conference bringing together a number of leading academics with the aim&nbsp\;to revisit the concept of development and consider the conditions that make it possible in the present state of the world. Among our keynote speakers we will have worldwide known economists as Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz\, Jeffrey Sachs\, Stefano Zamagni\, Juan Francisco Jimeno\, and Albino Barrera\, as well as sociologist Allison Pugh.
