There has been a resurgence of interest in income inequality in recent years, in part fueled by research by Atkinson, Piketty, Saez and others drawing on tax records to study the long-run evolution of top incomes. Please join us for October's Professional Development seminar to hear from Professor Roger Wilkins on how this research has impacted on our understanding of income inequality, its limitations, and how we reconcile it with the more traditional household survey-based analyses of income inequality.
