Senior Demographer (Land Use and Planning)

Remuneration: $105,505 – $112,679 per annum:
In the role of Senior Demographer (Land Use and Planning) you will provide expert advice and analysis relating to the impact of a growing and changing population on the Queensland transport system. This includes developing or incorporating infrastructure planning assumptions based on development projections, demographic and other projections, land use and other data sources.
Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- | Provide and apply technical expertise (including associated software) indemographic analysis and data development relevant to infrastructure planning, transport modelling, including small area demographic projections, geospatial analysis, statistical analysis, and assimilation of land use planning information. |
- | Lead maintenance, enhancement and currency of a state-wide land use and activity database. |
- | Plan, manage and/or conduct a range of projects concerned with preparation of development projections including small area population, employment and enrolment statistics and projections. |
- | Provide support in procurement of goods or services related to transport and land use planning data development and provision. |
- | Use advanced geospatial and analytical tools and develop spatial data sets to support transport modelling and planning. |
- | Conduct research, assess, report on and adopt innovative and best practice methodologies for preparation of development projections including the analysis, projection and allocation of population, employment and enrolment statistics. |
Provide advice to stakeholders on analysis and methodologies to support a consistent approach to utilisation of development projections related demographic and land use data for transport and land use modelling. |
