WEN Professional Development Workshop - communicating economics
Do you wish you had more opportunities to share your ideas about economics? Is there research you’ve done, a blog you’re about to write*, or just a general observation about the world that could be promoted and shared to a public audience or via social media?
This online event will include writing and speaking tips from award-winning journalist and speaker Catherine Fox and our National WEN Chair Angela Jackson, as well as digital content expert, Misa Han from the LinkedIn News team. The event will also include an interactive session to put your skills to the test. No matter what field you’re in, strong writing and speaking skills are critical in the modern age and ensure that you get your point across and engage with audiences.
*NSW WEN is also running a blog competition – and wants to provide you with the skills and resources to transform your knowledge and insights into great digital content. Our event will give you tips for writing and speaking for public audiences to ensure more women economists’ voices are in public discussion.
