Catch up on this Eminent Speaker Series afternoon webinar with ESA's National President, Professor Robert Breunig in discussion with Alexander Hijzen.
Alexander's presentation will focus on the OECD LinkEED 2.0 initiative which seeks to promote cross-country research and policy analysis using linked employer-employee data. It discusses how it works, why it is useful and what may be next. These questions will be illustrated with concrete examples from LinkEED projects related to productivity, job mobility, and underrepresented groups (gender, migrants). Special emphasis will be given to a recent project on the effects of import competition and digital innovation on local labour markets.
Alexander Hijzen is a senior economist at the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs of the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), the project leader of the OECD LinkEED 2.0 network and a Research Fellow of IZA@LISER.
