Professor Jeff Borland

Jeff Borland is Truby Williams Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne.  He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and in 2010 was Visiting Professor of Australian Studies at Harvard University.  He is the author of the textbook Microeconomics: Case Studies and Applications, and his research has been published in journals including Labour Economics, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Journal of Applied Econometrics and Journal of Sports Economics.  He has been Editor of the Economics Record, and a co-editor of Economic Inquiry.  He was Head of the Department of Economics at University of Melbourne from 2003 to 2006 and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce from 2007 to 2009.  He has been a consultant to organisations including the OECD, IMF, Productivity Commission and ACCC.
