Alison Booth, ANU
Alison Booth is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Australian National University, an ANU Public Policy Fellow, and a published novelist. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), London and of the IZA Bonn. Booth was President of the European Association of Labour Economists from 2006-2008, headed the ANU's Economics Program RSSS from 2008-2009, and was Editor-in-chief of Labour Economics for five years. The recipient of numerous research grants and the author of many refereed publications, Booth obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics. In 2015 she was made Founding Fellow of the European Association of Labour Economists, and in 2017 she received the Distinguished Fellow Award of the Economic Society of Australia.
